Doctoral Colloquium 2026 Summer
Osijek Doctoral Colloquium Summer 2026 served a total of 22 student attendees and took place between 29 June-24 July 2026. During the Summer Program, there were 11 students in Osijek (Croatia), 8 students in Almaty (Kazakhstan), and 3 student participants online.
„I have always wanted to be part of a community that could support my studies with guidance and encouragement, and here I felt that I finally met people who are genuinely willing to invest in me and able to offer meaningful feedback. This is a significant gain” (Summer 2026 ODC participant).
„This colloquium exceeds my expectations and improves my structure and the overview of my thesis. This is because I did interact with great mentors and other colleges from different cultures and with different perspectives that made my view clear” (Summer 2026 ODC participant).
„I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the organizers of the colloquium for the time, attention, and resources they have invested in preparing this program. The opportunity to engage in such a profound discussion on the methodology of normative theological judgment is a rare and valuable privilege, for which I am deeply grateful” (Summer 2026 ODC participant).
„It was very gratifying that all the time spent this week was of practical importance to me and my research. Especially meetings with mentors and other participants of the colloquium. In addition to participating in the colloquium, the presence of colleagues, their testimonies and stories, as well as the opportunity to personally communicate and establish new contacts with them are very important to me. The speeches of other participants of the colloquium, joint meetings in Zoom and joint prayers were especially inspiring” (Summer 2026 ODC participant).
„Now, as I move towards the end of these two special weeks, I go home not only with more confidence, knowledge and resources, but with a network of friends and colleagues that help and support each other in this amazing academic journey. If I were to summarize this time at ODC Summer 2026, it would be “ a boat called “refuge and strength” in the middle of a sea with waves of uncertainty, confusion, fear and despair.” Thank you for this memorable opportunity” (Summer 2026 ODC participant).
„The greatest joy for me was the community of scholars I met during these two weeks. It is encouraging to know that I can stay in touch with them for future guidance, collaboration, and feedback. I also discovered several valuable resources that mentors generously shared with me, and I believe they will be very helpful in refining my research and opening new avenues for exploration. I am deeply grateful to God and to everyone involved in organizing, supporting, and serving this program. Their generosity and dedication made these two weeks a truly enriching experience, both academically and personally” (Summer 2026 ODC participant).
