Dr. Teofil Stanciu (Romania) holds a PhD (Aurel University, Arad, Romania, 2022) with a thesis on the connections between kenosis and public space. He is Associated Lecturer and teaches a course on Public Theology and one on Literature & Theology at Eastern European Bible College in Oradea. He also teaches in a Master Program at the Greek-Catholic Faculty (Babeș-Bolyai University). As a full time job, he works as editorial director for Decenu.eu Publishing House (Oradea) and editor in chief for Convergențe (online magazine). He translated more than 10 book from English. Among them: Cyril Hovorun, Political Orthodoxies, Miroslav Volf, Exclusion and Embrace, H. Richard Niebuhr, Christ and Culture, Timothy George, Theology of the Reformers, Amos Yong, Spirit Poured Out on All Flesh, and George MacDonald, Curdie’s books.

 

Dr. Doru Marcu  (Romania) holds a Bachelor’s degree (2013) and a Master’s degree (2015) in Theology from the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, University of Bucharest. In the academic year 2015-2016 he graduated the Research Master: Master of Advanced Studies in Theology and Religion, Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. He obtained the title of Doctor in Theology (November 2021), specialization Missiology and Ecumenism, University of Craiova, Romania.

Currently, he is teaching Missiology as an Associate Lecturer at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, University of Craiova (since 2022). He published two books and over 15 specialized articles, in the country and abroad. Also, he presented papers at many national and international conferences. His topics of interest and research are: Christian mission and evangelism, ecumenical dialogue and encounter, theological education and formation.

 

Drs. Katharina Penner (Austria) serves as librarian at Akademie für Kirche und Gesellschaft in Vienna and at IBTS in Amsterdam. She is also involved in library and educational technology consulting. She was born in Soviet Kyrgyzstan and has previously worked in dual positions of teaching faculty and librarian at St. Petersburg Christian University (Russia), International Baptist Theological Seminary (Czech Republic) and TCM International Institute (Austria).

 

 

 

Dr. habil Anne-Marie Kool (Hungary/Croatia) is Professor of Missiology at the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Osijek, Croatia, Director of the Osijek Institute for Mission Studies, former vice-President of CEEAMS. She has a PhD from Utrecht University, and a Dr. Habil from the Reformed University of Divinity of Debrecen. In 1997 she was appointed as Professor (egyetemi tanár) by the Hungarian President of State. Since she arrived in Hungary 35 years ago, Anne-Marie has been affiliated with several institutions of higher education, including teaching and researching on church and mission related topics and supervising master and doctoral students in post-communist Central and Eastern Europe on topics related to the challenges of church and mission in Central and Eastern Europe. For her PhD, Anne-Marie has researched an unknown chapter in mission history, the Hungarian protestant foreign mission movement. More recently, she is involved in researching the Roma (Gypsy) (Christian) communities in Central and Eastern Europe.

Dr. habil Peter Penner (Austria) was born and grew up in the former Soviet Union, in the present country of Kazakhstan. He studied theology and mission in Germany, USA (MDiv), South Africa (MTh and DTh) and Hungary (Dr habil), PhD (Austria) and served as pastor and theological educator in different places while being involved in the leadership of St Petersburg Christian University (Russia), International Baptist Theological Seminary (Czech Republic), TCM International Institute (Austria) and the Euro-Asiatic Accrediting Association (Eurasia). Peter has published monographs and articles and has edited many books in the area of Bible and mission. For the Slavic Bible Commentary, he wrote the commentaries on Luke and Acts and edited the NT section of the commentary. He serves as Research Professor at Campus Danubia, Austria, and at IBTS in Amsterdam.
